Håvaldsen Triple Cask 40% Håvaldsen Triple Cask Aquavit is made from potato spirit, distilled in the same method as the best gin. By distilling all the herbs at the same time and just adding clean mountain water after the distillation. The herbs are well integrated into the end product, which has the highest quality. Håvaldsen is distilled in the same way as "London Dry Gin". ​Håvaldsen has been stored in three different barrels for a minimum of nine months in total: sherry, madeira,  and fine French oak. This is the first triple-cask aquavit made in Norway, and most likely worldwide. Håvaldsen won an ISC (International Spirit Competition) silver medal in 2017, which is an achievement we’re proud of. In 2018, we won a big blind taste test competition at Vinmonopolet (the Norwegian government-owned beverage retailer), where we were voted the best aquavit in Norway. This triple-cask aquavit is a toast to the Master Distiller’s grandfather, Herold Håvaldsen, a miner in the Norwegian mountains.
